Many buyers today are in need of a Well Certification as part of the loan approval process. GPA can meet that requirement with our Well Inspection.
Our Well Inspection includes opening the Well Cap (if accessible) making sure that a proper seal is present and checking for debris or nesting, surface water infiltration, visible ground water leaks or other conditions that could potentially contaminate your water supply. This also involves checking for proper grading or depressions around the well head, which could potentially lead to ground water leaking into the well around the head and contamination of the well.
Our inspector will check the pump to see if it’s cycling properly, check the pressure tank to ensure that it is holding the correct range of pressure, and check the gauge to make sure it is functioning properly. A functional flow rate will be performed inside the home to ensure the well and pump are able to deliver the proper amount of water to the taps. Our inspector will also determine if the minimum spacing requirements between the well and the septic system are met (if applicable).
